It would be super cool if the possibility exists to make a rich text area property. The thing is some properties in our project needs to be written in HTML markup, and using rich text editor will solve this problem
A suggestion for rich text editor as follows. It can have the same design as path browser, where a new window is opened, where the author writes the desired text, and when clicking this tick, the html text will be stored in the field.
we are currently not working on it, it's in the "backlog".
pull requests welcome!
In our company, we have implemented the idea of Richtext editor in Caconfig library. Please, have a look on it. I would be super glad if you make of it an official release. you can see it under my github account https://github.com/shadyeltobgy/wcm-io-caconfig . In the sampel config, we have created an example of how to use the richtexteditor widget.
P.S. pls. don't forget to deactivate minify in configmgr in Aodbe Granite html library manger in AEM.
thanks for the contribution! but i think we need a bit rework on it.
i created a branch for it and did some additions to documentation and changed the sample to use a dedicated parameter:
what we need to change:
we should get rid of https://github.com/textAngular/textAngular and especially avoid including bootstrap et al in the touch ui dialogs! in my test this severely impacts the display of the whole page and bloats the frontend a bit.
instead, we should use the rich text editor included in AEM. this may be a bit trick in a coralui dialog, but used to work when using the GraniteUI widget /libs/cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog/richtext - there seems to be an AEM specific CoralUI component as well.
and we definitely need to make it compatible with default YUI compressor minification (although it's annoying) so it can be deployed on any AEM instance.
One question Stefan,
are your team will implement the suggestion that you mentioned in the above comment of yours.
it's in the backlog, but i currently do no see we will find time for it in the next weeks.
