Overview

This is about defining the new "Conf V2" version of wcm.io Configuration (currently wcm.io has published a V0.x version http://wcm.io/config/ - although labeled 0.x it is used for two years in several production applications).

Please not that "Conf V2" is only a working title.

Part of the discussion is the option to contribute the bigger (non AEM-depending) part to the Apache Sling project.

We're starting with an overview of existing configuration solutions in AEM 6.1, an overview of the configuration use cases and what features of them are currently covered by the existing solutions, and then define a draft how a solution should look like that covers all use cases, and supports Sling applications, but also AEM applications with AEM-specific plugins.
